The Pirates of Penzance JR. features a hilarious farce with an eccentric Major-General, dim-witted young lovers, and sentimental pirates. Based on the Gilbert and Sullivan operetta, the classic comedy is also suitable for 4th to 10th graders as well. Come on down and watch how Frederic, who has just turned 21, strike off on his own and become an upstanding citizen who brings pirates to justice!

Faces of Burke Photo Exhibit by Country Bank

Faces of Burke is a traveling photography exhibit presented by Country Bank. The exhibit is designed to showcase the courage and individuality of the patients from Burke Rehabilitation Hospital. You will be able to view, appreciate, and get inspired by many compelling photographs and stories of the subjects who have succeeded in regaining independence and mobility through their experiences.

The Peekskill Farmers Market makes it a perfect summer event to attend. The market will be bursting with over 30 food producers and farm stands, and will happen – rain or shine. You will be able to find cold brew coffee, BBQ food straight from the smoker, pizza trucks, and many other goodies. What’s more, many market vendors are actually selling farm fresh produce that comes with a certified organic option. If you are looking for award-winning cheeses or freshly cut flowers, you can also find them at the Peekskill Farmers Market as well. The event is children-friendly and there will be live music from 10 in the morning until noon.

Hosted by Christopher O’Riley, From The Top is a NPR program that features a premiere performance of the 2017 National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America. What makes this event special is that it is a 90-minute live taping session, and it is a unique opportunity for you to be in the audience. Led by Marin Alsop, the orchestra is set to perform selections by Mahler and John Adams. In addition, there will be other segments, including chamber music performances, personal stories, and an entertaining mix of interviews of the inspiring members of the 2017 orchestra.
